Here’s what’s new and opening soon at Concord Mills, SouthPark and Northlake malls

Concord Mills and other major Charlotte-area shopping centers have a number of new stores, and more planned, including some making their North Carolina debut.

Hollister / Gilly Hicks, part of national apparel retailer Hollister Co., has opened across from The Children’s Place at Concord Mills, Simon said in a news release Wednesday. Gilly Hicks carries bras, bralettes, undies, swimwear, loungewear and sleepwear.

Several other stores will open soon at the mall:

▪ Primark will make its North Carolina debut opening near entrance three by Dick’s Sporting Goods, The Charlotte Observer previously reported. Founded in Ireland in 1969, the store sells women’s, men’s and children’s apparel, as well as lingerie, beauty and homeware. Primark has over 400 stores worldwide. Primark will have a temporary hiring recruitment center in the dining pavilion.

The 40,000-square-foot store said it will open Nov. 16. Earlier, it had been expected to open over the summer.

▪ Cotton: On, an Australian retailer that sells apparel and accessories, will open at entrance six, the Observer previously reported. Cotton On Group has eight brands with 1,500 stores in 22 countries and employs over 20,000 people.

The Concord outlet store with women’s and men’s apparel and Cotton On Kids under one roof will open this summer.

▪ New York Thread, a threading, waxing, eyelash and henna shop, will open at entrance six across from Aéropostale. The store is expected to open Aug. 1, according to the mall’s website.

▪ The North Face, an apparel store known for its hiking and outdoor apparel and equipment and is based in Denver, Colorado, will open at entry two across from the dining pavilion. The store is expected to open Aug. 4, according to the mall’s website.

▪ MINISO, a chain store specializing in cosmetics, stationery, toys and kitchenware, will open at entrance seven next to Lucky Brand. It is expected later this year.

▪ Ugg, known for its sheepskin boot originating in Australia, will open at entry six beside Old Navy. It will open this year.

Concord Mills at 8111 Concord Mills Blvd., just northeast of Charlotte, has 185 stores, according to the mall.

New stores at SouthPark mall

Simon also owns two other Charlotte shopping centers — SouthPark mall and Charlotte Premium Outlets.

Several stores have or will open at the mall, according to SouthPark’s website.

▪ Brahmin, a luxe leather handbags and accessories store based in Massachusetts, is open in the Nordstrom wing.

▪ Omega, a Swiss brand watch company, is opening next month near center court next to Lucky Brand.

▪ Aritzia, a Canadian women’s luxury apparel brand, will open between Lego and Kate Spade. It’s expected to open in the fall.

▪ Alo Yoga, a yoga clothing stores, will open in the Nordstrom wing next to Tiffany. It’s expected to open this winter.

▪ Royal Reflections, a nail salon, will open near J. Jill.

SouthPark at 4400 Sharon Road has 165 stores and restaurants.

New shops at Northlake Mall

Northlake Mall, which has been under receivership since 2021 after failing to pay its debts, has new stores opening soon too:

▪ 3SIX92, women’s apparel store, which has a store on Concord Mills Boulevard.

▪ American Eagle, casual clothing, accessories and footwear, based in Pittsburgh.

▪ Custom Place, a customized T-shirt, hoodies and hats shop.

Northlake Mall at 6801 Northlake Mall Drive has 111 stores and restaurants.
