‘Mouth-watering burgers and more’: New restaurant opens in downtown Rock Hill
Milo’s Burger Joint is preparing for a soft opening on Friday, June 7 at The Power House food hall in downtown Rock Hill, promising to bring “mouth watering burgers and more.”
A grand opening will follow on June 10.
Milo’s is named after the French bulldog of restaurant co-owners John and Ivonne Mello. The business was founded in 2021 as a food truck that traveled throughout the Rock Hill area.
Milo’s will still keep its two food trucks in use, but the Mellos are glad to have a singular place to set up for business.
“There’s a lot of pressure, but it’s super exciting because now we’re going to have an opportunity for people to come to a physical location and enjoy our food,” Ivonne Mello said. “With our trucks, we have a lot of people that follow us and try to catch where the trucks are going to be next, so now they can come here and get the food on a daily basis.”
Milo’s offers crafted burgers and poke bowls, or customers can create their own. The menu also has chicken tenders, sandwiches and wings to go along with specialty fries and a build-your-own hot dog.
Drinks available are Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Mountain Dew and a selection of juices.
‘We’ll be located right across from the bar for the perfect combination of food and drinks!,” the restaurant posted on Facebook. “We can’t wait to see all our friends enjoying our food.”

Milo’s is joining a few new eating options that recently opened at the luxury apartment complex. Rolled AF opened there on May 8, while FRESHPRESS opened on April 10.
And for those who are wondering, Milo’s Burger Joint is not connected to the Alabama-based fast-food chain Milo’s Hamburgers.
