Home for the holidays? See what the hot properties are selling for in the Rock Hill region

High-end home sales continue to grow in the Rock Hill region, outpacing commercial or industrial deals. Not all of those homes are in the usual places.

The most expensive November home sale in the region was a $3.3 million Lake Wylie transaction on Marthas Vineyard Road. That’s the second most expensive sale for a home this year.

But another home and farm site on Old Ferry Road in Sharon sold for $2.2 million. That’s the second sale in as many months to top $2 million in Sharon, a small community in western York County.

Nearly a dozen York and Lancaster county homes sold in November for $1 million or more. Use the map below to get more information on each one.

Then keep reading for details on seven-figure shopping center, motorcycle dealership, motel and auto site sales in the area.

Million-dollar property sales

The 11 homes sales at $1 million or more start with the 5,600-square-foot Marthas Vineyard home built two years ago on Lake Wylie. The four-bedroom, five-bath custom home has a saltwater pool, spa and private beach, according to its recent for sale listing.

The million-dollar sales include four Lake Wylie homes, three in Fort Mill and one each in Rock Hill, Indian Land, Clover and Sharon.

Rock Hill-based AEB Properties bought the 38,000-square-foot Cox Harley-Davidson of Rock Hill building on Nov. 15 for $6.2 million. The motorcycle dealership property at 1178 Galleria Boulevard is just off Interstate 77, between the Anderson Road and Dave Lyle Boulevard interchanges. The showroom built in 2006 sits on 9 acres.

An 11,000-square-foot shopping center in Fort Mill sold on Nov. 4 for $4 million. An owner in Waxhaw, North Carolina, bought the 200 N. Dobys Bridge Road property, where Dobys intersects Tom Hall Street. The retail center was built in 2007 and has a Wing King restaurant, State Farm insurance, a pharmacy, dentist and nail spa in it.

A York company bought the Royal Inn motel property at 631 Hwy. 321 Bypass for nearly $1.6 million. That’s more than twice what it sold for in 2019. One of York County’s older hotel or motel properties, the Royal Inn was built in 1960. The new owner, who isn’t listed as the owner of any other properties in York County, bought the motel on Nov. 7.

McClure Leasing and Development out of Charlotte bought property at 9869 Harrisburg Road in Indian Land. The Nov. 17 sale for $1.6 million includes a 12,000-square-foot building constructed in 2002. The new owner is part of the auto repair business McClure Collision Center.
