Record Rock Hill property sale and historic York site highlight latest $1M+ deals
A record Rock Hill industrial site sale and an historic York mill property are among the region’s latest million-dollar sales, along with nearly 30 homes, in the past month.
York and Lancaster counties had several dozen property sales in May that topped $1 million.
By far the biggest was a $101.5 million industrial site sale on May 20. That’s the biggest land sale on record in Rock Hill, and the second highest in the Rock Hill region, The Herald previously reported.
The 73-acre property at 2097 Williams Industrial Blvd. has a more than 850,000-square-foot building on it.
The new owner is affiliated with Bethesda, Maryland-based real estate investment firm BentallGreenOak, doing business as BGO. Manufacturer Pratt is in the building as part of $92 million plans announced last fall to bring 116 jobs.
Another big sale, also reported by The Herald last month, was a more than 210,000-square foot historic mill site in York. Dubai-based energy company Esyasoft bought out long-time area company Vision Metering and the building at 7 Ross Cannon St. The $2.5 million deal happened on May 1.
Among the other big sales were for homes in Fort Mill, Lake Wylie, Indian Land, Tega Cay and Rock Hill. Lakefront homes on Broadside and Rinaldo roads in Lake Wylie were the highest-price sales this year in the region, at nearly $2.9 million and $2 million respectively.
Here’s a closer look at those homes, and at other large sales:
