Hickory Tavern to open soon in Rock Hill
Hickory Tavern is hiring and should open its new Rock Hill restaurant within a month, company officials said this week.
A temporary hiring trailer remains on site near the intersection of Celanese and India Hook roads.
The Warren Norman Co.-built location has a large two-story glass facade, which makes a great statement, said Hickory Tavern spokesman Thom Perez.
“It’s a huge Hickory Tavern billboard,” Perez said of the building.
Rock Hill will be the fifth Hickory Tavern location the Charlotte-based operation has opened this year. A Hickory Tavern recently opened in Memphis, Tenn. Other new restaurants this year are in Indian Land, Winston-Salem, N.C., and Birmingham, Ala. In all, Hickory Tavern has 22 locations.
Hickory Tavern bills itself as a “great neighborhood restaurant/bar with a sports passion,” Perez said. To meet the demands of sports fans “there are lots of televisions,” he said.
Each location takes on the personality of local and regional sports teams. Perez said the Rock Hill location will feature Clemson and the University of South Carolina.
The menu is the same at all locations.
