Rock Hill’s Technology Incubator offers small business growth workshops
“Engaging and Validating Your Customers” is the subject of the monthly business growth workshop at the Technology Incubator at Knowledge Park on Tuesday.
The workshop will address how to effectively engage customers in ways that build loyalty. The intent of the workshop is to give small business owners an action plan for interacting with their customers.
Resources for the workshops include advice from a certified business coach and subject experts, along with guidance materials from the licensed GrowthWheel decision-making toolkit.
The event is 8 a.m. to noon at the Technology Incubator at the Citizens Corner building at the corner of Main and Caldwell streets in downtown Rock Hill. ▪ State Rep. Tommy Pope has joined the South Carolina Film Advisory Board. Pope is a managing partner at the Elrod Pope Law Firm in Rock Hill and represents House District 47 in the legislature.
▪ Elizabeth Smith Owen, a partner at the law firm Morton & Gettys, has been appointed to the York County Community Foundation Board of Trustees. The foundation’s goal is to increase charitable giving resources in the community.
The organization began with a $10,000 grant and has grown to manage 82 funds worth more than $15 million. Last year the foundation awarded $28,000 in grants to York County organizations and distributes more than $1 million in college scholarships annually.
Owen’s practice at Morton & Gettys focuses on family law, education law and personal injury.
