Shoppers continued to stop by grocers over the weekend and Monday to pick up staples such as bottled water, toilet paper and canned goods.

Even amid the threat of coronavirus some things haven’t changed.

One man at a Walmart in Rock Hill pulled a wet wipe from a small plastic bag to wipe down the handle of his shopping cart. Another shopper loaded her cart with large bundles of bottled water, which were on display in the center aisle.

Other businesses, such as gyms and retail stores, are closed. Lancaster’s city offices were closed with a sign directing customers to pay bills through a window. Other businesses limited the hours they are open.

Many restaurants closed their dining rooms and offered a to-go option. Fast food restaurants had lines of cars wrapped around the buildings at lunchtime.

Shoppers kept mum Monday about how they were coping and maintained social distancing amid concerns about the virus.

How are you coping?
