Four new coronavirus cases were confirmed in York County Sunday, and two cases were reported in Lancaster County, South Carolina health officials announced.

The S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control reported 132 new cases of COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, across the state, for a total of 2,049 cases in all 46 counties.

DHEC also announced Sunday that four more people in the state have died after contracting the virus. In all, there have been 44 coronavirus-related deaths in South Carolina, two of which were York County residents.

Now, there are 85 cases in York County and 41 in Lancaster County, according to DHEC. Chester County, which has 12 cases, did not have any new cases reported.

Nearly 19,000 coronavirus tests have been completed by DHEC’s public lab and private labs in the state, according to the department.
