Five new coronavirus cases reported for York County Saturday, SC total at 4,246

York County logged five new confirmed coronavirus, or COVID-19, cases Saturday, health officials announced.

No new cases were reported for Chester or Lancaster County Saturday.

The S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control reported 165 new cases Saturday, bringing the state’s total to 4,246.

Health officials said three more people died, bringing the death total to 119 in the state.

Two of the people, from Horry County, were elderly with underlying health conditions, reports DHEC. Another person from Aiken County, middle-aged with no known underlying conditions, also died.

York County now has 156 confirmed cases, Chester County has 23 and Lancaster County has 73.
