Free coronavirus testing continues in York, Chester counties this week. Here’s where.

Free coronavirus testing sites are scheduled for this week in York and Chester counties, officials said.

On Tuesday, free testing will be done in Rock Hill at the Kenneth Monroe Transformation Center at 745 Saluda St, North Central Medical Center CEO Ernest Brown said. Testing runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. No appointment or insurance is required.

The medical center tested hundreds of people at the site last month.

On Tuesday, Medical University of South Carolina-Lancaster will hold testings from 9 a.m. to noon at Oakridge Elementary School at 5670 Oakridge Road in Lake Wylie.

On Friday, Affinity Health Center will have free curbside testing at First Baptist Church in Clover from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to a press release from the health center. Testing is free and requires no referral or insurance.

Affinity plans to hold the free testing in Clover on the first Friday of each month, officials said.

Affinity also will continue free tests in York on the third Friday of each month. Affinity has tested more than 1,000 people at that site during testing events in June and July.

As of Monday morning, more than 3,150 people in York County have tested positive for COVID-19 since the pandemic began in March, according to the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control.

On Saturday, there will be free testing in Chester County from 8 a.m. to noon outside the Chester County Government Center, 1476 J.A. Cochran Bypass. The testing is free and does not require an appointment or insurance, Chester City Council member Angela Douglas said.

Chester and South Carolina officials tested hundreds of people at a location in downtown Chester in June and July.

As of Monday morning, Chester County has reported more than 560 coronavirus cases since March.
