Man found dead on Rock Hill railroad tracks identified by coroner
A man who was struck and killed by a train Wednesday has been identified by the York County Coroner.
The victim, Donnie Smith, 57, has no known address, said Coroner Sabrina Gast.
Rock Hill Police said the man was sleeping between the rails when he was hit around 5 a.m. Wednesday on the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks off East White Street.
The incident remains under investigation. Rock Hill Police Department said there was no witness.
