N.C.-based burger company opening Monday in Fort Mill

Fort Mill has landed a new burger restaurant, opening Monday along Springfield Parkway.

Hwy 55 Burger, Shakes and Fries, a North Carolina based company, has more than 100 restaurants. Fort Mill’s location will be one of its newest.

The restaurant features a 1950s-style dining room, fresh-made burgers and custard, and hand-squeezed lemonade. Company officials say the Fort Mill location is still hiring. Staff training at the restaurant started earlier this week.

The Fort Mill restaurant is located at the intersection of Springfield Parkway and S.C. 21 Bypass North.
