Rescue helicopter sent for entrapment crash victim in Lancaster County

A helicopter has been called for crash victim who is entrapped in a vehicle collision east of Lancaster, emergency officials said.

The crash is on the 4800 block of S.C. 9, also called Pageland Highway, emergency officials and troopers said.

Multiple fire departments have been called to the scene. Officials have asked that a helicopter be sent for the victim who remains in the vehicle as emergency officials work on an “extended extrication.”
