Storm downs tree on Rock Hill home, 3 displaced including two children
Heavy rain and wind Wednesday night knocked down a tree that fell on a home in Rock Hill, displacing three people including two children.
The tree fell around 9:15 p.m. onto the house at 954 Jefferson Avenue, said Mark Simmons, deputy chief for the Rock Hill Fire Department. No one was hurt as the people were able to get out safely, Simmons said.
The American Red Cross is assisting the family with clothing and other emergency needs.
