Wells Fargo speaker to give Carolinas economy forecast

A senior economist for Wells Fargo will give his national, regional and Carolinas forecast for the economy 7 p.m. June 8 at the River Hills/Lake Wylie Lions Club in Lake Wylie.

Mark Vitner will give his overview of the economy on the national and regional levels, and also take questions from the audience.

Rock Hill medical center celebrates 25th anniversary

North Central Family Medical Center recently hosted its 25th anniversary at Southern Charm Events Center in Rock Hill.

The organization has three locations in York, Lancaster, and Chester counties. North Central offers services such as adult care, pediatric care, behavioral care, prenatal care, and on site pharmacy.

The center provides full care to approximately 10,000 residents. A new facility is currently under construction at 1132 Saluda Street that will house women’s/adolescent health and pediatric programs.

The facility is expected to be complete by December.

Humana patients’ in-network access restored

Piedmont Medical Center announced June 1 that all patients covered under Humana’s commercial and Medicare health insurance will have in-network access to its hospital, sister facilities, physician clinics and hospital-affiliated outpatient centers.

“We are pleased that Humana members will regain in-network access to our care network in the communities that we serve,” said Piedmont CEO Brad Talbert. “Our patients are our highest priority, and we look forward to once again serving as the provider of choice for those with Humana health insurance.”
