York County’s emergency director received a very prestigious award

York County Emergency Management Director Chuck Haynes received the designation of Certified Emergency Manager from the International Association of Emergency Managers. The designation is considered the highest honor of professional achievement from the IAEM.
York County Emergency Management Director Chuck Haynes received the designation of Certified Emergency Manager from the International Association of Emergency Managers. The designation is considered the highest honor of professional achievement from the IAEM.

Emergency Management Director Chuck Haynes has received the designation of Certified Emergency Manager by an international board.

Only 1,813 other men and women are designated CEM in the emergency management profession internationally. The award is designated by the International Association of Emergency Managers.

Haynes qualified after submitting a credential package, completing a management essay and passing a written examination.

He will continue professional development in order to maintain the certification.

“York County is very fortunate to have a leader of Chuck’s caliber,” said Bill Shanahan, York County Manager.

“Chuck demonstrates a high level of dedication, professionalism, and commitment to the emergency management profession and residents of York County.”
