Fire displaces Clover family; neighbor with garden hose contains fire, investigator says
A Clover family was displaced Tuesday due to a fire in their mobile home on Woodend Lane, according to a York County fire investigator.
Lou Jarvis, an investigator with the York County Department of Fire Safety, said a neighbor shot a garden hose through the window, which helped stop the fire from spreading.
The cause of the fire, which started in the master bedroom, is still unknown, Jarvis said.
The Red Cross is helping the family, two adults and three children, through financial assistance for food and lodging, according to a Red Cross release.
The family was home at the time, but was able to detect the fire early, Jarvis said.
He said the mobile home is fixable.
