Stretch of S.C. 97 in York County to shut down for 2 months of repairs
A portion of S.C. 97 between Hickory Grove and Smyrna will close Aug. 28 for nearly two months for construction work.
The South Carolina Department of Transportation awarded a contract to Eagle Construction Co. for roadwork on S.C. 97 from Ebenezer Road to north of Railroad Avenue and Ebenezer Road.
The project is expected to end in late October.
The detour route, about 1.51 miles, uses Legion Road/Potato House Road and Main Street.
