Florida evacuee, 77, reported missing in Indian Land found safe
A hurricane evacuee from Florida who was reported missing Thursday was found safe in Indian Land.
On Thursday night, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office asked for public assistance locating Florida resident John D. DePasquale, 77, after he and his wife came to the area to escape Hurricane Irma.
He was last seen about 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the home of relatives in Sun City. He had stated intentions of going to Connectictut where he once lived. DePasquale suffers from dementia and needs medicaion he didn’t have with him.
The sheriff’s office now says DePasquale was found safe.
