Business notes: York County tourism bureau earns new accreditation
The Rock Hill/York County Convention & Visitors Bureau was awarded with a new accreditation earlier this week.
The bureau received the Destination Marketing Accreditation Program seal by Destinations International for meeting industry standards for performance and accountability.
The program requires a destination organization to successfully comply with mandatory and voluntary standards that span several performance areas. The Rock Hill/York County CVB is one of over 200 destination organizations who have obtained DMAP recognition.
“Being the first Destination Marketing Organization in the state of South Carolina to receive its accreditation, we are really proud to continue with our position as a globally accredited CVB and valued and respected organization in our community,” said Auvis Cole, the bureau’s interim executive director. “All credit goes to the staff who continues to do great things to promote York County.”
Service center JLG opens Rock Hill facility
Access equipment and lift service provider JLG Industries Inc. this month opened a new service center in Rock Hill.
The 13,800-square-foot, seven-bay facility will be used to inspect, maintain and repair all brands of lift and access equipment. The facility is at 225 NorthPark Drive.
The center also offers mobile service, where technicians can visit customer job sites for maintenance and repairs. In a release, JLG said it plans to add branches in Orlando and Atlanta in the coming year.
