Slow on I-77? 4 crashes on interstate snarl Tuesday morning commute in York County

If you are stuck in traffic on or near Interstate 77 Tuesday morning - you are not alone. Troopers with the S.C. Highway Patrol were working four separate crashes Tuesday between Rock Hill and the North Carolina state line.

Three of the incidents were on the northbound side at mile markers 82, 83 and 90, according to the highway patrol Web site. One incident southbound is at mile marker 85.

The incidents caused traffic backups along U.S. 21 and Gold Hill Road as drivers sought other routes.

Other crashes on Sutton Road, Regent Parkway and Gold Hill Road west of Interstate 77 were also reported by the highway patrol.
