Huckabee also visited Berkeley and Lexington counties.

The former pastor ran for president in 2008 and hinted he may run again. The Herald’s news partner WSOC-TV asked him about his 2016 plans in Rock Hill.

“Well it’s pretty evident that I’ve given a lot of consideration to that process,” Huckabee said. “In fact, a final decision will be made very soon and announced very soon.”

Huckabee said he would be compelled to enter again to fight for the working class.

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz was the first Republican to launch a 2016 campaign. He stopped in South Carolina last week. Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul announced his this week. Marco Rubio is expected to make his bid official in Miami Monday.

On the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton is expected to announce her campaign Sunday after months of speculation.
