A house fire Sunday night on Shurley Street in the northwest part of the city displaced six people, four of them children, officials said.

The fire happened around 6 p.m. Sunday at 329 Shurley St. No injuries were reported and the displaced family is staying with relatives, said Mark Simmons, Rock Hill Fire Department deputy chief.

There was heavy fire damage to the attic and garage, Simmons said, and smoke damage to the entire home.

The home is in a neighborhood southwest of the intersection of India Hook Road and Herlong Avenue.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
