Fury 325 coaster gets stuck at Carowinds
Carowinds’ newest and tallest ride, the Fury 325 roller coaster, became stuck Saturday night. This marks the third time a ride at Carowinds has gotten stuck in three weeks.
A spokesperson for the park said the ride stopped just after 7 p.m. at the lift hill and was stuck for about 20 minutes. A sensor detected a problem and stopped the ride as a safety feature, according to the official.
The passengers were let off at the stairs. No injuries were reported.
Carowinds blamed the safety system for the past two problems with rides. Last week the WindSeeker stopped, dangling riders 150 feet in the air.
The weekend before, the Flying Ace Aerial Chase also stranded riders.
