Thousands braved the cold Saturday to watch marching bands, beauty queens and graduates of Jefferson High School honor Martin Luther King Jr. at the annual MLK parade.

Parade Marshal Ivory Latta, a former York Comprehensive High School athlete, professional basketball player and children’s author, waved atop a convertible as crowds cheered.
