Will it snow Tuesday night and Wednesday morning in York County?

The answer is maybe, weather forecasters say. Still, any precipitation could possibly stick, making for a potentially difficult Wednesday commute.

The National Weather Service is forecasting a 40 percent chance of rain or snow, then snow late Tuesday and Wednesday morning for Rock Hill, with less than a half-inch of accumulation.

Accuweather is showing a forecast for Wednesday of some snow in the morning with no accumulation.

Weather.com is forecasting a 50 percent of snow showers for Wednesday morning.

What is certain is more cold air has already arrived and will stick around for a few days. Highs won’t get out of the 30s Wednesday, with a low Wednesday night in the teens.

The cold is not expected to reach the single digits seen in York, Chester and Lancaster counties in the week after the new year.
