Missing child in Lancaster County found safe, officials say
The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office has found a missing child, according to a written statement by spokesman Doug Barfield.
Deputies were searching for 10-year-old Dequarrius Whitted of Salud Lane in the Arlington subdivision in Indian Land, Barfield said. Whitted has been found unharmed and is being reunited with his parents.
The boy attends Harrisburg Elementary School and officials said they believe he got off the school bus near his home around 2 p.m. Tuesday, Barfield said. The boy was found late Tuesday.
