Some northbound lanes of Interstate 77 in York County will be temporarily closed Friday afternoon and evening for emergency patching.
The South Carolina Department of Transportation will close the stretch of I-77 from mile marker 79 to 83 in Rock Hill to perform the emergency work.
One lane of the eight lane section will be closed until 5 p.m. Dual lanes will be closed beginning at 11 p.m.
Barring any unforeseen delays, all work should be completed overnight, according to DOT officials.
