Local voters will have the chance to size up two more Republican presidential candidates this week.
U.S. Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky will speak in Rock Hill on Friday as he lays the groundwork for a run in South Carolina’s 2016 presidential primary. The next day, former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania will hold a town hall event in Fort Mill.
Paul will make an appearance at 12:30 p.m. Friday at the Palmetto Room, 150 E. White St. The $25 event includes a catered lunch and a chance to ask questions of the candidate.
Afterwards, Paul will greet guests and sign copies of his book, “Taking a Stand: Moving Beyond Partisan Politics to Unite America,” in which he lays out his vision and agenda for the country. Paul is currently on a multi-state tour promoting the book.
