Daughtry to perform July 2 at Carowinds in Fort Mill
Multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated band Daughtry will perform at the Paladium Amphitheatre at Carowinds next month, the theme park announced Thursday.
Tickets for the July 2 show go on sale 10 a.m. Friday. Show starts at 7 p.m.
Daughtry was formed by frontman Chris Daughtry, who was a finalist on the fifth season of the “American Idol” TV show.
Over the next five years, the singer/songwriter/musician from North Carolina has released back-to-back No. 1 albums, the 4-time-platinum “DAUGHTRY” and 2009’s platinum “Leave This Town.”
The band has had four No. 1 Top 40 hits – “It’s Not Over,” “Home,” “Feels Like Tonight” and “No Surprise” – and earned four Grammy Award nominations, including Best Rock Album for “DAUGHTRY.”
The group has won four American Music Awards, and taken its live show around the world, including sold-out arenas in South Africa, Singapore and The Philippines.
