Chester police, SLED investigating woman’s death near York County line

Chester and South Carolina police are investigating the death of a woman late Thursday.

The woman was found dead in a home on Suzy Bole Road, said Max Dorsey, Chester County sheriff. Deputies responded to the scene, then called in agents with the State Law Enforcement Division around 10 p.m. Thursday night, Dorsey said. The sheriff’s office also released the information to the public in a written statement on the sheriff’s office Facebook page.

“The sheriff’s office is investigating to make sure that we can determine what happened,” Dorsey told The Herald Friday. “We called SLED to assist us in investigating this thoroughly and appropriately.”

The name of the woman who died has not been released by the Chester County Coroner’s Office.

An autopsy and toxicology testing are pending, officials said.

The rural location is near the Lowrys community south of the York County line.
