Here’s when the first businesses should open at Steele Street Station in Fort Mill.

Daily work at a new Fort Mill retail site soon will lead to a new restaurant, massage place and dentist office.

Three businesses — Domino’s, Balance Massage & Spa and Core Dentistry — are building out their spaces now in Steele Street Station. The new retail site at Tom Hall and Steele streets in Fort Mill has room for several more tenants to be announced.

Estimated openings for the Domino’s pizza site and Balance Massage come in April. Core Dentistry could open in June.

Roger Metz, broker with Kuester Real Estate Services, said at least another restaurant is a possibility.

“We have had interest from some general retail users as well as a few breakfast/lunch restaurant concepts,” he said in an email.

The Steele Street Station project dates back at least to 2018, when Kuester Commercial planned a new two-story, 13,000-square-foot building and remodeling of what then was a small office building on the property for a mix of office, retail and restaurant uses. Kuester is the company behind many of the commercial projects in Fort Mill in recent years, including several redevelopments on Main Street.

Earlier plans for Steele Street Station included an upscale barbecue restaurant, but that tenant isn’t coming now.

Steele Street Station adds to the list of available commercial properties which includes space right across Tom Hall, on Spratt Street and elsewhere.
