Rock Hill residents will vote on whether the school district can take on $294.8 million in debt to pay for safety and security projects and updates to schools and other facilities. The $294.8 million Rock Hill school district bond referendum has been postponed due to coronavirus, or COVID-19, concerns, according to the York County elections office.

The referendum vote was scheduled for March 31.

Residents still can submit their vote in person or by mail, according to the elections office.

S.C. Gov. Henry McMaster postponed all March and April elections. Affected elections will be moved to after May 1, according to the S.C. Election Commission.

The school district has not yet addressed the postponement.
