Black Street parking deck repairs start Thursday in Rock Hill

Repairs to the two stairwells in the Black Street parking deck in downtown Rock Hill will begin Thursday morning.

About six parking spaces near both stairwells will be blocked off during the work, which is expected to take about three weeks to complete. Contract Building Systems of West Columbia is planning to complete the $60,000 worth of concrete work by Aug. 7.

The work will be performed so only one of the stairwells will be closed at a time. Here’s the estimated schedule:

▪ Thursday through July 29 – Work will be done on the western stairwell (closer to Dave Lyle Boulevard).

▪ July 27 through Aug. 7 – Work will be done on the eastern stairwell (closer to the Black Street municipal parking lot).
