Power restored after Rock Hill outage
Power on Dave Lyle Boulevard and the Interstate 77 corridor was restored just after noon Friday after a crow apparently caused the outage that took down an entire substation, officials said.
The City of Rock Hill tweeted at about 12:15 p.m. that power had been restored. The outage, which affected about 3,000 customers, was reported just after 11 a.m. and was reportedly caused by a crow. It also knocked out traffic signals along Dave Lyle Boulevard and the I-77 corridor.
Quinn said outages caused by birds and other animals are not uncommon.
