Rock Hill ushers in holiday season with annual Christmas parade
Hundreds of people braved the rain Friday for the annual Christmas parade in downtown Rock Hill.
Scores of children holding their schools’ banners marched down Main Street, followed by floats made up of church-goers, soldiers and businesses.
The Grinch appeared several times, along with several other cartoon characters and mascots.
Parade participants marched down the street wearing flashing lights, headbands with sparkles and Christmas sweaters. A local shelter walked a dozen headband-wearing dogs and a Chandler Place Senior Living van cruised down the street with smiling, waving residents inside.
