Traffic on southbound Interstate 77 south of Rock Hill remained slow Monday morning after a tractor-trailer truck overturned, officials said.

The incident occurred south of exit 77, the York County Sheriff’s Office said on social media. That’s the interchange with Anderson Road.

S.C. Department of Transportation cameras showed traffic backed up and moving slowly around 10:20 a.m. on the southbound lanes near the crash site.

Southbound lanes were closed after the crash before 8 a.m. but one lane later, re-opened around 9 a.m., said Trent Faris, spokesman for the sheriff’s office. Deputies assisted the S.C. Highway Patrol with traffic after the crash, including a detour that was used between exits 77 and 75, the sheriff’s office said.

It remains unclear when all lanes will reopen.

The S.C. Highway Patrol is investigating the collision, the sheriff’s office said. Details about the crash have not yet been released by the highway patrol, including if other vehicles were involved or if there were any injuries.
