Amid the storms, a beautiful sight
Several rainbows appeared over Lake Wylie Tuesday during a thunderstorm, which produced heavy rainfall. In this photo, a rainbow appears over the lake at the Buster Boyd Access Area.
I was in Lake Wylie on a photo shoot to document the beauty of the lake, and I decided to stop at the Buster Boyd Access Area for two reasons: I couldn’t see the traffic in front of me because of the heavy rain and I’ve gotten photos there before.
The rainbow was an unexpected sight. I jumped out of my car and ran to a spot where I could see it clearly, all while getting soaked by the rain.
