Missing 87-year-old Indian Land man found safe, unhurt

The man who went missing Thursday in Indian Land has been located safe and unhurt, deputies said Friday morning.

Authorities sent out a media alert late Thursday after Richard Donald Valenti, 87, did not arrive at his destination. He left his home in Indian Land at about 10:30 a.m. Thursday driving a white Ford Fusion with SC Tag JSK-792, Lancaster County deputies say.

Deputies thanked the public for help.
