Girl Scout cookie season arrives in Charlotte with new flavor. Where + how to buy
Girl Scout cookie season is kicking off in Charlotte, and there’s a new flavor joining the lineup.
Exploremores, a new Rocky Road ice cream-inspired sandwich cookie, will appear alongside Thin Mints, Samoas and other classics as the 2026 cookie season gets into full swing, Girl Scouts of the USA said in a Jan. 6 news release.
The treat will soon roll out at cookie booths across Charlotte and nationally. They can also be shipped nationwide.
“Right now, Girl Scouts all over the world are exploring who they are, what they can do and all they can become,” the organization said. “Your purchase helps them make the world a better place — one box of cookies at a time.”
Here’s how to get your hands on a box of Girl Scout cookies:
What’s the new Girl Scout Cookie flavor?
The Exploremores sandwich cookie is inspired by Rocky Road ice cream, featuring flavors of chocolate, marshmallow and a toasted almond–flavored cream, the Girl Scouts said.
“Girl Scout Cookie season is always a moment of joy and tradition, and this year promises to be incredibly exciting,” Wendy Lou, who runs the cookie program, said in the release. “We’re thrilled to introduce the new, delicious Exploremores™ cookie to the iconic cookie lineup people know and love.”
“With every purchase, consumers directly support local Girl Scouts’ abilities to explore more opportunities in STEM, the outdoors and more.”
Exploremores are the latest cookie variety to join the lineup, though a few have been phased out in recent years. S’mores were retired at the end of the 2025 cookie season.
Raspberry Rally, a chocolate-coated raspberry cookie, was a smash hit after its 2023 debut but was discontinued as the Girl Scouts chose to “prioritize supplying our classic varieties,” a spokesperson told Today.com at the time.
