Will your insurance rates go up? Get details at York County open house

York County officials are hosting a public, open house meeting to share information on new flood insurance rates.

Members of the public will be able to drop in on the meeting between 4 and 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, at the Rock Hill Operations Center, 747 S. Anderson Road, Room 132.

Visitors will have a chance to talk with county planning staff about proposed changes to the map used to set flood insurance rates, including questions about its affects on insurance, floodplain management, property look-up and the appeals process.
