Arrow Road in York to reopen Thursday

Arrow Road in York will reopen to the public on Thursday.

York County officials plan to hold a ribbon cutting at the intersection with Alexander Love Highway at 10 a.m.

The county awarded a $1.3 million contract in March to pave and reroute the half-mile stretch of road running between Alexander Love and East Liberty Street, in hopes of bringing more development to the area.

The intersection where Thursday’s ribbon cutting will take place was originally suggested as a location for a new county administration building if York County moved offices out of the Agricultural Building in downtown York, before the County Council voted to stay in an expanded building on South Congress Street.
