Want to help S.C. flood victims?

Many area groups, businesses and churches are continuing to collect donations to help South Carolinians dealing with historic flooding.

▪ Rock Hill VFW Post 2889 will send another truck with bottled water to Columbia Saturday morning. The post will continue to accept donations for another supply truck to leave next week.

▪ Church of the Good Shepherd, 108 E. Liberty St., York, will take donations for Columbia-area flood victims indefinitely Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The church is collecting the following items: clothes, baby items including diapers, cleaning supplies, toiletries, non-perishable food, and water. ▪ Tabernacle of Praise Church International, 229 Wood St., York, is collecting non-perishable food items, medical supplies, toiletries, bandages, rubbing alcohol, cleaning supplies, diapers, sanitizing wipes and other personal hygiene items.

▪ Performance Food Group, 1441 Firetower Road, Rock Hill, is collecting non-perishable food items through Oct. 15 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., hoping to fill a 48-foot-trailer to deliver donations to the American Red Cross. Employees will collect the donations and load the truck.

▪  Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene, 998, Dunlap Roddey Road, Rock Hill, is collecting blankets, toiletries, hygiene products and crisis care kits that generally are put in zip bags and include shampoo, soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste, combs, hand towels, pocket-sized tissues, and small toys. The church has sent one load but will go again as donations come in. For information call 803-328-2134.

▪ Donations of water can be dropped off at the Allen Tate Realtors, 1602 Ebenezer Road, Founders Federal Credit Union locations, Piedmont Medical Center main lobby, Williams and Fudge, 300 Chatham Ave, and the Upper Palmetto YMCA, 402 Charlotte Ave.

▪ Tega Cay and Fort Mill will collect bottled water and canned goods through Oct. 15. Donations will be delivered Oct. 16. Drop donations at Tega Cay Fire Department, 7200 Tega Cay Drive or Fort Mill Fire Department, 121 Tom Hall St.

▪ Faith Assembly will collect bottled water, diapers and non-perishable food at the church on Assembly Drive, Rock Hill from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday.

▪ Lake Wylie Chamber of Commerce and Kodiak Mini Storage are collecting items, including bottled water, non-perishable food, medical and cleaning supplies, bedding and new clothing at the storage facility on Charlotte Highway.

▪ You Scored Lawn Service, Beyond Revealed Productions, Clover Area Pop Warner and Kodiak Mini Storage of Lake Wylie are collecting water to take to victims and volunteers. The goal is 100 cases of water by Oct. 17. Drop off donations at Kodiak on Charlotte Highway in Lake Wylie or the practice field of Pop Warner in Clover at Clover Memorial Stadium 6-7:30 p.m. Oct. 15. Call 704-915-6000 for more information.

▪ Oakridge Middle School in Lake Wylie is collecting school supplies, book bags, jackets, undergarments, socks, canned goods, through Oct. 16.

Mount Gallant Elementary: bottled water, individually wrapped snacks, granola bars,

Sullivan Middle: baby formula, wipes, and diapers; bottled water

Richmond Drive Elementary: bottled water

Northside Elementary: baby formula, wipes, and diapers; bottled water

Sunset Park Elementary: bottled water

Northwestern cheerleading: non-perishable food items, travel-size toiletries, bottle water

Central Child Development Center: baby formula, wipes, and diapers; bottled water, soap, toothbrushes toothpaste

South Pointe High: bottled water, through Friday

Castle Heights Middle: bottled water, jugs of water

Rawlinson Road Middle: bottled water

Mount Holly Elementary: baby wipes, travel-sized toiletries, socks, washcloths

Finley Road Elementary: bottled water

Saluda Trail Middle: toiletries

Rosewood Elementary: will partner with Rosewood Elementary in Columbia to fulfill future needs

Ebenezer Avenue Elementary: bottled water, "grab and go" food items

Rock Hill High: cases of bottled water, deliver to athletic office by Friday.
