Chester motorcyclist killed in Monday crash

A Chester man was killed Monday when he lost control of his motorcycle and was ejected from the vehicle, according to the Chester County Coroner’s Office.

Marco Antonio Alvarez, 29, of West End Street in Chester, was pronounced dead at the scene from blunt force trauma, according to Chester County Coroner Terry Tinker.

The crash happened just before 4 p.m. on Liberty Road, Tinker said. Alvarez was traveling down the road when he exited the roadway and over-corrected, sending the motorcycle off the other side of the roadway.

Alvarez was ejected from the motorcycle and struck some trees, Tinker said. He was the only person on the bike, and no other vehicles were involved. Speed is believed to be a factor.

An autopsy will be performed Tuesday, Tinker said. The Chester County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
