Herald reporter to talk Winthrop presidential forum on Charlotte Fox46 Friday morning

The Herald’s politics and public affairs reporter will appear Friday morning on WJZY-TV, Charlotte’s Fox46 news and entertainment channel, to discuss the Democratic presidential forum at Winthrop University.

Bristow Marchant, 30, will talk about the upcoming forum on WJZY’s morning news broadcast, starting at about 7:20 a.m.

A Columbia native and 2007 College of Charleston graduate, Marchant has been with The Herald since September 2014. He covers York County public affairs, as well as state and regional politics, for the newspaper.

Fox46 is owned and operated by the Fox Broadcasting Co.

Friday’s forum in Rock Hill will air live at 8 p.m. on MSNBC from Winthrop’s Byrnes Auditorium. Tickets already have been allocated.

MSNBC prime time commentator Rachel Maddow will interview candidates Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and Martin O’Malley during the “First in the South” Democratic Party forum at Winthrop.
