York Veterans Day parade canceled because of weather

The annual York Veterans Day parade scheduled for Saturday has been canceled because of steady rain forecast for Saturday, York officials said.

The parade, sponsored by the Greater York Chamber of Commerce, will not be rescheduled, said York Police Chief Andy Robinson.

York’s Christmas Parade, also sponsored by the chamber, is set for Wednesday, Dec. 2.
