Mostly sunny Thanksgiving Day start of warmer temps this week around York, Chester, Lancaster counties

Thanksgiving Day will usher in warmer temps for the local area, with a high of 61 degrees today by late afternoon. With no rain or storms in the forecast, Thanksgiving travelers should enjoy clear roads – albeit with traffic – around the Southeast.

Meteorologists predict York, Chester and Lancaster counties will continue to see mostly sunshine the rest of the week, with temperatures reaching 70 degrees Saturday.

Nighttime temps will still be cool. The National Weather Service says Thanksgiving night will have a low of 44 degrees and the local area will be partly cloudy.

Lows the rest of the week, though, will be a little warmer. According to the weather service, Friday’s low will be around 43 degrees, Saturday will see a low of 47 degrees, and Sunday’s low will be 50 degrees.
