Dozens of Carolina Panthers fans skipped the Black Friday shopping lines for a chance to see their favorite players up close overnight.

Supporters welcomed Cam Newton and his undefeated teammates home from Texas just after midnight. They were especially excited because the Panthers defeated the Dallas Cowboys in their first ever Thanksgiving Day game to maintain their undefeated record.

One fan at the rally said he knows exactly how the team’s season will play out.

“We’re going 16-0,” said Cameron Davis. “We’re going to the playoffs. We’re going to the Super Bowl and we’re going to win it all!”

Many of the team’s critics disagree, though. The Panthers were underdogs in Thursday’s matchup against the Cowboys, but they looked anything but, crushing Dallas 33-14, proving they should be considered favorites to win the NFC.
