List of 2015 Christmas parades in York, Chester, Lancaster counties
In the mood for a Christmas parade? Well, you’re in luck, because the first of thirteen holiday parades scheduled for York, Chester and Lancaster counties gets under way on Wednesday.
Here’s the full schedule:
Wednesday
York – Begins at 4:30 p.m. and runs along Congress Street through the center of town. Rain date is Dec. 9.
Friday
Chester – Begins at 4 p.m. in downtown Chester.
Rock Hill – Begins at 6:30 p.m. on Oakland Avenue at Winthrop University and concludes at Fountain Park on Main Street in downtown Rock Hill.
Saturday
Fort Mill – Begins at 11 a.m. at Unity Presbyterian Church and ends at Walter Elisha Park.
Hickory Grove – Begins at 3 p.m. near the old Oxford plant and travels down Wylie Avenue to the VFW building.
Sunday
Clover – Begins at 3 p.m. and goes through downtown Clover.
Tirzah – Begins at 3 p.m. on Tirzah Road between S.C. 5 and S.C. 161 in York. Parking available at Tirzah Presbyterian Church.
Dec. 12
Richburg – Begins at 11 a.m. at Old Richburg Road, travels up Main Street and ends near the fire station.
Van Wyck – Begins at noon near the post office and finishes at the community center with a meet-and-greet with Santa Claus.
Fort Lawn – Begins at 2 p.m. where U.S. 21 South starts, travels down Main Street and ends at Municipal Drive. Rain date is 3 p.m. Dec. 13.
Lancaster – Begins at 6 p.m. and runs from Main Street at Springs Street through downtown to Williams Street.
Lake Wylie – The 27th annual “Lights on the Lake” Holiday Boat Parade begins at 6:30 p.m. at Buster Boyd Access Area and T-Bones on the Lake.
Dec. 19
Lowrys – Begins at 1 p.m. at the Community Center, goes into Lowrys and ends at the Community Center.
