Fog warning issued for upstate SC
A fog warning has been issued for upstate South Carolina through 7 p.m. Tuesday evening.
The AccuWeather service warns fog will cause visibility problems for drivers throughout the day and are urging drivers act with caution.
Dense fog means visibility could be as low as a quarter-mile. Drivers are advised to drive slowly, use headlights and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
Meteorologists say a “very moist and saturated boundary layer” is causing the heavy fog over South Carolina and northeast Georgia, according to the weather warning. The fog will stay in place and could “remain degraded” until rains dispurse the fog later this evening.
